Do I have an outdated version of the Bible?

Inspite of what I read constantly on here, in my Bible I can't find the words Trinity or Rapture. And what bothers me most, nowhere in my Bible does it say that the snake that deceived Eve, was actually Satan. Has there been an update of the Bible that I'm not aware of?

The "Rapture" is a 19th century concept - it isn't there, it never was there - it isn't Biblical. The Trinity isn't there by that name. We see examples of it as in the dove decending on Jesus at his baptism & the Father saying "This is my Son in whom I'm well pleased." The serpent is implied to be Satan, an agent of the evil one.

Your bible is just fine those specific words do not appear in any version however you can find references to the trinity from Jesus own mouth in Matthew 28: 18. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20. and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." and the rapture in Matthew 24:39. and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. 42. "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

What translation is it? Is it the Message? Is it NIV? Is it NAS??? That will tell me a lot more. There's no updates on the bible, just new translations.

You don't say which version you have of the Bible. There are different "versions" that use different periods of English. So the "New King James Version" uses very traditional English, where as the "New Living Translation" uses more modern English. However, there are different organisations that call themselves Christians & bring out their own versions of the Bible based on what they believe or want to believe are true. I'd like to help you, but as you don't mention which version you have or who or where you got it from, I can't realy help you. Please respond to me with this info & I'll do everything I can to help you. And please don't worry. This is a healthy question to ask, but there's nothing to panic about. We'll sort it out.

Who cares, the point was that they aren't in the bible, but are being touted as "Christian theology" something which they aren't

Well you have to be careful there judy: they CAN be Christian theology if they are supported in the Bible even if that specific word isn't used. Trinitarian theology is well backed up with numerous verses. The nature of "rapture" and all the connotations that are involved with that word may not be as well supported.

The Trinity is never mentioned because it is part of theology that emerged out of the early church after they processed everything that Jesus said and did and what was talked about in the scriptures. There are various passages that lead to this theology without actually mentioning the word. Rapture just means to be gathered up. The actual Greek word I think is used twice... but often not in the context that many End Days folks use. Usually people use it to mean we will all disappear and be in Heaven when Jesus returns. But the places that use it seem to suggest that it is actually Jesus coming down from heave and we meet up with him as he comes down.
