Jazz music for the young

I was listening to some Jazz as I walked my children home from school and my daughter walked next to me as the boys ran ahead,she ask "Is that jazz mom?" I say Yes She says as she nods her head "I like it" I just smiled and we kept on listening as we walked home. Children say the darnest things lol.

That's a nice story. If more children liked Jazz, they would probably be a great deal more smarter than they are now....their brains is as much mush, as the music that they listen to.

I had a similar story when I was 7. I heard some music in the neighborhood and I told my father: -Dad, is that rap? -Yes it is. -I like it, but I llike much more your jazz!
