While many times we will scoff and tease about a small town community, I think the recent happenings in Greensburg, Kansas proves that your community is as strong as your neighbors and perhaps we could all learn a lesson from these heroic people who have helped each other even in the worst of times.
It's sad to see the damage done there, from the tornadoes, but it's also very heartwarming to see the neighbors help each other and bond together. Something we often lose touch with in our hustle and bustle world.

i think nothing acts to bring a community together like a common problem. It is heartw3arming to see it happen for sure but I think in the depersonalised, urban jungle we lose this spirit. With such a breakdown in close community ties the only thing that acts to unify is a national disaster
blessed be

So true. There seems to be a sort of magic that happens in the face of catastrophe!

Yes that is so true you know what they do is so totally amazing. I am in a small community and i believe that is what i like the most about it is the togetherness. In my community everyone knows everyone it is that small and when something goes wrong everyone bands together. It is like a big family and i wish more places were like this. But i find bigger places people are so wrapped up in there own world they do not think of others. That is so sad though there is not reason we cant all have what Kansas and my community have.

Isn't it though? If we could only harness that kindness every day of our life perhaps the "news" would be mostly good stuff and the surprising things would be when people were cruel, unthoughful and evil.
