mow lawns, clean houses or whatever you can do on your own. I do not understand why people wait so long or do without when there are things you can do to make money. There are still people who want their laundry ironed and starched and many things, including running errands....how do you feel about all this?.

Ingenuity - Ingenuity...........
I am with you on this one. I do not understand why people will let themselves get so far down and behind when there truly are so many options. It is easier for some to think of reasons why they can not come up with anything to do, than to just pull them selves up by their boot straps and 'just do it'. As a previous poster suggests, there may not be mowing opportunities for everyone, and risk can be too high when it comes to entering peoples homes, but with ingenuity and a no-matter-what attitude there is always something to do for money. I like the phrase "if you keep doing what you're doing you're going to keep getting what you're getting."

This is an excellent plan and using your head, rather than looking for sympathy, I admire your take charge and no job is to small belief. Good on for you.

I have a job. I was just wondering why some people dont use some of the independence in thought and look at what they can do instead of what they cannot do. Sometimes when I have talked to people who have been laid off and are waiting for work, I cant help but think there is always some kind of work and its never too far away.

I think you are right..there is no excuse for someone who needs help but wont make an effort: mowing grass, cleaning houses, flipping burgers..all these are just some of the open possibilities for a man seeking employment..No job be so dreaded if it puts food on the table;)+

My son just turned 13. He wanted extra money so he printed up flyers offering to cut lawns etc and already has five customers. I think that the work is there, it is just some people are to lazy.
