Do you think China will be as powerful as America?

I don't know in how many years ahead. America is modern country. Different with china, not all city in china are modern.

Yes, but not in the same way, and with a different methodology. The rise of China represents a change in the way the world works. China is a true engine of the world, and it's in China's interest, as well as the world's, to move away from the old power politics into a much more advanced, and far more complex power structure. China can lift the world out of poverty, if it's done properly. China can produce on a scale nobody's ever achieved before, and the increased business and wealth can do a lot to completely alter the way of life for billions of people. China will be as indispensable to the world as America. It already is, in some ways. China can also be an effective competitor and investor, an economic power, which is currently America's real strength, and source of influence. China is now beginning to drive technological change, as well, which is another forward move, creating a credible alternative to the dominance of the developed nations. It should at least force them to become cost-effective, as distinct from the monopolistic tendencies of technological cartels and economic policy dictatorship which have achieved so little. Competition like this, coupled with the fact that China and the West are now codependent in so many ways, should do a lot to restore the many hideous imbalances of wealth and equity in the world. Poverty is contagious; so is prosperity. Power, like water, finds its own levels. With any luck, China will reintroduce some competence and sanity into a lost world order.

I don't think China will as powerful as America in 30 years.There are so many to do to improve the quality of chinese people's live.Many people are still very poor in china.

I don not think so ! china is a big country which has more than a billion people,the resources is limited, they must support more and more people,they must develop quickly for providing resources to each other.but the demanded for oil and nature resources will prevent country potential growth. and whether china will become another the next world superpower ,It depends on which policy they can adopt,make sure to eliminate poverty;give more resources to education whole people;reduce surroundings pollution an so on.

Yes, I agree with you that China can be as powerful as America. when it's come true may be America get his new enemy in the world. and also America must more carefully with this new power. I hope China can fight America in future because it is will be balanced strenght that will make America can not conquer this world again.
