Wow! Hari that sounds more like a war between the devoloping heritage and the fading heritage. Ya indeed we all go for technology first, but yet we cant let the heritage go just like that. Immagine we all use computers but does it mean that we neglect or do not go for any manual documenting. QWe still do it. So there is no harm in using broom. Afterall nature can never be replaced by technology and artificiality.

Most of the floors in my house are wooden floors or tiled floors, so it's easier and quicker just to get the brush out and sweep up. I do get the vacuum out once every week to give it a good clean up and getting into all the little corners etc. The vacuum gets used more for cleaning out the car than it does in the house.

Its really nice to hear that you have wooden floors, i also like them especially during winter. using the vacuum cleaner to clean the car is really a good idea.

Nope. I use vacuum cleaner only in every other week to clean every corner of my house including the closet. After using the vacuum cleaner it comes the difficult time for me to clean it, as it is a rather troublesome and messy job. The rest of the days I just sweep my house floor with an ordinary broom. It is quite convenient and handy to use a broom for small job.

yes you said it right...depends upon the amount of dust we use cleaner..otherwise we use brooms, small dust blower, duster to wipe away dust..we make sure that we clean up the house atleast once in two weeks to remove dust...since we reside in a main road we have vehicles passing all day and hence its dusty all over..its not possible to remove the dust sediment outside the house and shelves..so its necessary to use vaccum cleaners in those places..

i think it'll take up a lof of energy if you use your VC everyday. i have just bought one, but haven't used it yet. i think it's more convenient to take out a broom. cos you have to plug a VC and it could be bulky. i bought a smallish one. hope i'll use it once a week. VCs are good for dust and hair don't you agree?
