My mistake~

Last night my mom, my sisters and I went out to celebrate one of my sisters birthdays:) We had a great time. Then it came time to give my sister her presents. I bought her a skirt (on clearance for $2.50), a top and some lotion. The top and lotion were not cheap. When she looked closer at the skirt, she said, "I'm sorry, I can't wear this. I have to take it back." One of my sisters said, "Why, it looks like it will fit you." Then my sister said, "look at the tag." It was a maternity skirt!! MY BAD! It was funny because it did look like the right size for my sister. I told her to try it on and if it fit, cut out the tag. If she wants to take it back, I have to tell her that I only paid $2.50 for it. LOL!

ha that's too funny! does it have the extra material in the front that would make it look like a materity skirt? do you know what i'm sayin? that pouch they make out of different material to fit your belly in? if it doesn't she shouldn't care. i would keep it, especially if it was cute and all, take out the tag if it bothers you that much ya know? and what a GREAT deal...$2.50? i love it! let us know if she takes it back, and what she says when you tell her how cheap it was, ha ha. it probably won't be worth her taking it back, ha ha! good luck!!

That's what I am thinking. It won't be worth taking back. I is a really cute skirt. Just elastic waist~ no front panel. Knee length black with yellow small flowers. I couldn't pass it up for $2.50!

No, it would never fit me. I am not into maternity sizes~ LOL! We all just laughed about it...not a big deal. I think that she is keeping it.

Oh no! That has me laughing as much as my banana theft incident seems to have people rolling. I would crap in my drawers if I accidently gave my sister a maternity skirt! Ithink I wouldn't survive the episode, as she would be leaping over the table to make me wear it as a hat, or worse! We would never even get to how much I paid for it or explaining that it was a clearance item. Can you just tell her you will return it since you are on your way there anyway and give her the cash of whatever value she would think it would be? LOLOL!!

No need to return it. She has already worn it. Sad to say it fits her perfectly....it doens't look maternity~ it is actually a knee length or shorter skirt. We just laugh it off!

LOL, too funny! There are so many cute maternity clothes out there these days so it's easy to see how you made the mistake. If I were your sis I'd just wear it if it fits. It can just be your "secret" that it's maternity size, LOL.

LOL ok thats funny..I know. embarrasing for you but none the less...still funny. I would just offer to exchange it for her then give her a $15 dollar gift certifate for a clothing store. I know that will cost you $12 more but if you are to emabarrsed to admit the cost of the skirt that would work. I bet your sister would laugh though if you told her the truth...besides its the thought the counts.

Oh, I will tell her what I spent on it and if it doesn't fit I will buy her something else. She will think it is funnier considering how much it cost. We are all bargain shoppers in my family. Once my sister bought me a beautiful sweater for my birthday. I loved it. Then she said she found it on the clearance rack for $3.00. That is just how we are, the bigger the bargain, the better.

Well I bet that felt like a slap in face, huh? But maternity clothes really do look like regular clothes not. I'm sad to say I still wear some of my maternity shirts. My clothes still don't fit right since the baby was born. Those maternity shirts are longer, so they hide the buldge a little better than other shirts. I have a dress that I love so much, and you could never tell it's a maternity. Hopefully your sister will forget about the tag and wear it anyway. No one will know!

She just cut the tag off so her husband wouldn't see it and is now wearing it:)
