Who was the first band/artist that you saw in concert? How long ago was it that you went? Have you been to other concerts since your first one you went to? The first artist I saw in concert was Darius Danesh (from Pop Idol) and was about 3 to 4 years ago now. I have been to quite a few other concerts since the first ever one I went to.

welcome back pal , you are not going to believe this but hand on heart it is true , It was the 16th April 1960 and hubby and I went to Glasgow to get my engagement ring ( it was my 18th birthday ) Cliff Richards was on at the Empire Theatre . WE waited for the show to go on and he came on near the end , people were standing on their seats and shouting ( happy shouting) but I am under 5 fee and I was really scared , so we got up and walked out . When I think of it now it was a terrible thing to do , but it was really terrifying , so I never saw him xx

I saw both Air Supply and Neil Diamond in the early '80s. I was but a tyke, then, not even 10 years old. The first time I went to a concert without my parents was Skid Row and Aerosmith when I was 17. I saw Oingo Boingo a year later (for a graduation present). I've seen a whole pile of local folks in bars and other venues around town and have seen Keb' Mo' at two blues festivals and two solo performances as well. Now that we have kids, hubby and I don't get to go to concerts often. We were so sad that we had to miss WookieFoot and the Blue Man Group this year because we didn't have a baby-sitter. Maybe in a few years we'll be able to enjoy the live music scene again.

Well not seen a band perform till now, caz we in Sri lanka are not tht lucky to see great superstars in action.. but i have been to a show performed by some of bollywoods greats, sharukh khan, preity zinta etc etc, really had a blast.. n talking abt blasts.. a bomb went off during the show, and everyone had to run for cover.. IT HAPPENS ONLY IN SRI LANKA

Sounds as though you enjoyed the show though, apart from the bomb of course. That would have been scary.

Believe it or not the first person I saw in concert was Michael Jackson. I was 4 at the time. He was on his Thriller tour. When he sang Thriller and all the monsters came out on stage I remember it scariing me lol.

The first concert I ever saw was Rush. I was about 16 I think. I have been to about 10 or so since then. My favorite was Big and Rich last year.

My first concert was L'Arc~en~Ciel in 2004. They were my favorite band at the time (I still adore them now), so it was a magical, otherworldly experience often exaggerated when I retell it. And although it was a stadium concert, I was still in the 7th row or so, so my sight was obstructed; I even got the vocalist's water bottle splashed on me. What a fangirl I used to be... Nowadays I mostly attend small club concerts, though I did see Goo Goo Dolls last year at the new Woodstock. Most of the time I don't bother with American bands, though; too expensive! So far I've seen live: MUCC, Nana Kitade, The Emeralds, Ellegarden, Stance Punks, D'espairsRay, Dir en grey, and whatever opening acts played during those club shows. Still, I prefer club shows over stadium concerts, because you get closer and more in touch with the band.

I saw the Beatles way back in the mid 1960's. I have never forgotten the concert, as it was the first I ever went to.
