M cat stopped giving milk to kittens within 2 months.What could be the reason?

Our cat topped giving milk to its kitten within 2 months of its birth.We give him milk.His mother stopped that.It also not allows that kitten to come near.What could be the possible reason?

This is perfectly normal. She is trying to wean the kitten and teach it some independence.

By 8 weeks, kittens should be weaned anyway. They can start having regular kitten food.
