Do you agree that gem stones have effects on our mind and body?

I believe that God created everything with a purpose. Even stones have its purpose. Now a days there so many scientific studies that proves that it has effects on our mind and body. How about you, have you experience the effects of gem stones on yourself?

To be honest, I don't believe that gem stones have any effect in our body or mind. For me such beliefs are superstetious. Can you please give details of the scientific studies that proved these stones have some effect in our mind and body? I think these studies are alchemistry.
