2007 Philippine Elections, to vote or not to vote!

Please tell me should we vote while the people who are running are mostly corrupt parties looking for more years to steal from the government and to fool the people.
for me I wont be voting this year, not unless there were new candidates that have real intentions of aliviating the Philippine plight.

I feel that I am more inclined to answer in the affirmative. This is so because I still have hope that something good could probably result out of this election, even if others would think that I'm just being naively optimistic.
I choose to hope because, quite frankly, I strongly feel that I cannot accept the alternative. If I will not hope that there are, at least, some in the roster of candidates who could introduce some needed changes when they're elected, be it big or small, in our current system, then who will? In other words, I would rather hope than simply resign myself to cynicism, indifference, and defeat.
Indeed, changing a corrupt system of government is never easy. It requires consistent collective willpower to truly seek genuine enduring change, which is really beneficial to all. But, as the adage goes, a journey of a thousand miles starts with one step, or something like it. I am hoping that this coming election will be the first step to real change, and that's why I'll vote.

I respect your descision my friend, and know that you will do the right thing. Just for now that I have lost whatever trust I have on the government. I believe that we need new candidates not these old Traditional Politicians who dont really make a difference now a days.
Some can be commended its that my local candidates are not worthy for reappointment and his oponents are not yet ready for the position either. While those who deserve my vote are outside my area I am speaking of the regionals offcourse.
For the senatoriables and governors I have no trust on each one that's why I'm not voting any of them. If I had more to choose from like the last election I think I would vote, we have lost a lot of good politicians for the past few years, I for one mourn the loss of Rocco.
He just made his descisions too brashly the last time, and unfortunately he cant make new descision anymore how sad.
well to sum it all up, the ones who are running for higher offiice now dont deserve my vote at all. Thats why Im not voting today, beside I have work hahah
