What method do *you* use to tie your shoes?

Do you have a specific or unusual way of tying your shoes? My method is rather odd as I seem to be the only one I've ever met who ties their shoes this way. First I put on my left sock and then my left shoe. I then the tie the shoe laces with a double knot. Then I move on to the right foot and do it exactly the same as the left. Most people I've seen put on their socks, then their shoes, then tie both of them. Is my method really so strange? How do you do it?

I put on my right shoe then left shoe, and like you I double knot them. Hate when they come untied during the day. Then I put on my socks and I scrunch them down some, I also hate socks pulled up to my knees. After that I light a candle and turn around three times, and say 5 Hail Marys :)) after that I am out the door for my day. I just can not understand why my socks will not come clean anymore!

rofl, try Tide w/ bleech(tm) (hello tide, where's my check?) Your description of lighting and candle and spinning around three times reminds me of a computer technical manual I was asked to write an old job. The owner of the company wanted to know how to do something basic like email, instead of letting me show him, he wanted a paper written out in steps, starting with turning the computer and how to do it. I put in all kinds of crazy stuff such as crossing fingers, spinning around in the chair, closing your left eye (followed with, "Note: Closing your left eye *is* important) etc. It didn't go over well, but it was funny.

I just do it like the person who posted before me (for sneakers), unless I'm going to wear boots with laces. Then there's not other way. But when I wear them, I usually put on both socks. Then, I put on my right boot, zip it and tie it (yeah, there's also a zipper on that pair). Then, I do the same with my left boot. I guess that's it!

Mine is odd as well, I leave my shoes tied and just simply slip them on.
