I've been to Las Vegas several times. There are many, many things to do. In addition to all the gambling, there are several shows. Name stars and big-time revues are shown every night. Most of the casinos also have smaller lounge acts which are very reasonably priced. Free shows abound as well. The fountains at the Bellagio, the pirate ship show, and the downtown light show are all free. Be sure to check out the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Casino, mini NYC at New York New York, ancient Rome at Caesar's Palace, the Old West at most of the downtown casinos, the big top at Circus Circus, etc. Away from the casinos, there is also the Liberace Museum, the Elvis Museum, fly-over tours of the Grand Canyon, driving tours of Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. If you are taking children there are many attractions for them as well. I'm not so up on them as I haven't travelled there with children. Last, but not least, there is the food! Everything from world-class gourmet to all-you-can-stuff buffets. And don't forget: If you plan to gamble, pay all your bills before you go, leave your bank cards at home, and set a reasonable limit for your losses, Good luck and have a great time!

Vegas is awesome, even if I've never understood it's appeal as a family destination. However, there is something for everyone, and I guarantee you will have a great time. Clubs: Check out big names like Tao in Venetian, Pure in Caesar's, Studio 54 in MGM, or Ghost Bar in the Palms. However, don't limit yourself to those. There are great ultra lounges all through the strip and some of these places might not be as crowded as others. Shows: Cirque de Soleil or BLue Man Group, Celine Dion to comedy clubs... there are a number of shows; it just depends on when you go. Check out discount show brokers, you can get a great deal on certain shows. Shopping: The shopping is awesome. Whether it's the Forum shops in Caesar's or the various malls or hotel shops, you can spend a ton of time there just shopping. If you want deals, try the Primm outlets. Food: Oh, man, the best. I recommend the buffet at the Rio... good quality food and it's not too pricey. You can find good buffets all through the strip, too... enjoy, every time I go there's always something new to do/discover.
