My first "deletion" problem with myLot

Well, it's finally happened. After all this time of reading others' complaints about deleted discussions, one or two threads have been removed which contained several remarks of my own. I didn't actually start the threads, which I suppose could be interpreted as a good thing, but it really came as a shock. I was up to about 307 posts last night, and now it's something like 289. Just like that! (Sigh), what a bother.

Hello dear samtuccie. I have this problem as well, as sometimes I see my post decreased. This happened especially in the first few months after I became a resident at mylot. Now I have learnt to be more clever not to respond to discussions that would be deleted later on though still once in a while I can see my posts decrease. Thanks.

I have to agree with many here. There is definitely a lack of information for Mylot users. I had a few of my first discussions erased and also some I had responded to. In my case after reviewing the terms I found that I was posting or responding to forbidden content but still, I am not sure of the exact rules. Honestly I like Mylot but I don't find it very user friendly. I think that they should be trying to get more feed back from their users to try and improve their site. I'm sure that most users would be happy to let them know what they dislike or find annoying and give suggestions to improve. I haven't seen any sort of initiative on Mylot's part to try and communicate with it's members which is a shame. They want us to interact together but they don't interact themselves. I'm still enjoying my time here though.

I hate when a post I respond to gets deleted, and I do hate it when I am on a post that I really love that is a bit about morality and then someone decides they do not like my response and that post goes. I have not really checked on my posts and responses. I do not keep a list, but it seems that the deletion are used to get rid of those who do not agree, not the violators of the guidelines.

That is so crummy! I hate when that happens. I think it's happened to me a couple times. But, I post mass quantity-quality replies and discussions, so I hardly ever see a dip in my earnings. I'm not bragging, cause I know the pain of deletion. Just trying to commiserate. Best of luck on future posts. Hope they stick next time.

Thank you so much! It hasn't happened recently (knock on wood), but it was a bother when a whole twenty posts just up and disappeared, including one with one of my "best responses!" Of course I mainly look forward to the interaction here, as well as exposure for my blog. So it's not that big a deal, I suppose. Thanks again for your response. Much appreciated. :)
