Here in the Philippines, we really call our bosses Sir/Ma'am..but you know what, in the company that im working, we call our bosses their first name..Even the site director, we call her her first name...hope they can apply that to any other company here in the Philippines...
My Aunt said, its like that in the US..when she is working in NY, the practice is calling their boss the first name and its not offensive...i guess its COOL!

When I first started working we all had to be be called miss, mrs or Mr, I hated it it seemed so stuffy then came the day they decided it was friendlier for us to all call each other by our first names, I think it was one of the best things that ever happened.

i agree! a lot friendlier that way...im still in the same company and i like it that way..althought im hearing most of the other call centers, they call their bosses mam/sir..there are even times when im out and is looking for someone in some establish, i tend to call them their first name, i sometimes forgets that i need to address them correctly..
