The best place to earn money writing is Associated Content. I have been writing for them for a year and they are paying my bills and making it possible for me to work from home. They aren't my sole source of income, but they are by far my largest source. Once you sign up for them, you can upload your articles and then they will make you an offer within 5 business days, although lately I've been getting offers within 2 and 3 business days! They pay between $3-$40 per article but most of mine get offers of $8-$15 depending on the topic and how long the article is. They pay by paypal, but they do pay! There is this program: gofreelance.com that has a lot of job offers - freelance of course - in the writing section. You can get a month's trial subscription for $2.95, after that it is almost $30 per month to stay a member. But if you get a few assingments out of that every month, it is well worth it... Theu have other offers as well, like reviewing websites in beta stage and so on. You can check it out, I am not a member, but they keep sending me emails, every day, with a new offer, hence I know their name. Good luck to you!!!

rentacoder.com is a good site. both the freelancer and the job provider are protected. for the freelancers part, once a job provider selects you to do the job, the money is deposited.

A couple of sites you might give a whirl getafreelancer.com or blogtheinternet.com. The blog site pays you more the better the articles are, freelance site has buyers that pay for what they want you to write. Worth a try!
