Do you set your clock 5 or 10 mins ahead of time?

I used to set my clock 5 or 10 mins ahead of time cos' it give me the illusion that I'm "running late" just so that I'll always be on time. I know some other people who do that too. I've since stopped doing that and just stick to actual time and find that I can still make it to all my appointments in time. Do you set your clock a few mins ahead of time?

I usually set my alarm 11 or 14 minutes ahead of time --- some random number, since multiples of 5 are boring. Systemically, I turn off my alarm and go back to bed for another 7 or so minutes. I'm never able to get up after the first alarm; it's a bad habit, but it's become routine.

when i sleep, i set the clock 1hour ahead of time...yes one hour...when the clock rings, i just turn the snooze on....i use the snooze until the time...this is because i am afraid that if i'll set the alarm on the ryt time, i won't be able to wake up...so i set it really really advance...

Arrghh...you're like my husband...just snoozing and snoozing till the "actual" time he wants to wake up. It's annoying for me though cos' I don't want to wake up the same time he wakes up but he keeps having the clock on snooze and it rings every 5 mins...drive me nuts! LOL!

Whoa, the stories I could tell you about college... hahaha.
Well, I guess it was something that I should comment on. Yes, I used to do it all the time when I was in college. I was always taught to be early, but I tell you... the idea of doing this actually got me to classes even earlier. Cause now here I was getting to class 20 minutes early instead of just ten... of course, it was something I had to do because of the traffic in San Diego...

no! but my husband does. I do not understand the idea really. you know that the clock is 5-6-10 minutes off, so you are not fooling anyone. I figure all the time he spends calculating the real time - he could have spent it doing something else if he kept the clock set right. hehe. I guess I so dislike lies that it feels like a lie to me to purposefully have the clock tell a time that it is not really.

I am one of those people who are always early for an appointment so I really do not have a need to do this....with the exception of getting up really early in the mornings..then I set 2 different alarms and set both of them 10-15 minutes ahead....I really do not mind getting up early and I usually end up worrying that I will oversleep and get up 2-3 times through the night to check the time....

yes i generally keep my watch 5 min ahead of actual time. I don't like to be late for any thing. I adjusted my watch and forgot about it ...and do my work as normal not thinking that its 5 min ahead.

I set my alarm clock about 5 minutes ahead, but my other clocks are set to the real time. I suppose it would be easier to just set my alarm for 5 minutes earlier, but I keep the clock ahead instead.
