I remember a few years ago, my 2 nieces and I were sitting in my sisters car while she ran into the mall. We were parked right next to a tree. My oldest niece, who was 3 or 4 at the time started talking about the tree, and asking questions (i cant remember what she said exactly). But whatever it was I told her there was a monkey in the tree. She was like @_@ Really! We talked about that for a minute. And than we moved on to other, compltely different topics. Ten, maybe even longer, minutes later my sister came back. And as we were backing up out of our space my niece waves out the window and says "bye monkey!"

Oops I forgot to post what I was going to say! I have four children and we have had so many precious little moments like that, they are so sweet and I love them. Even as teenagers we have them once in a while. I remember once when my 7 year old daughter (now 15) came home from school with something exciting to tell me. She made a friend at school and she was black and white! She had a black mother and a white father and she had white spots on her skin! Of course this was some type of skin condition but she was to young to think of this possibility and went around thinking if someone had a black parent and a white parent the would have spots! I explained that no that is just a coincidence and that she must have something going on with her skin. It was innocent ans funny. She has a cousins that are black and white and I wonder if she ever thinks about it and laughs at herself.

Reminds me of four years old Isaac who saw a peacock probably the first time in his life. It was so beautuful with all the feathers up like a fan. His comment was: That one is not a real one!! He must have thought that this was too good to be true..

You are right on that point that is why I am ever careful of what I promise to my daughters or say to them even in passing because they always remember. We had this hotel here in our city and I had an officemate who was staying there. I was with my daughter when we dropped off my officemate and she was fascinated by the hotel because it really looks like castle that I told her that Janet (my officemate) is a real princess. She was 3 years old then and now that she 5 years old, she still remembers it and mentions it everytime we pass by the hotel.
