Is it time for Gibbons to go?

Well the Blue Jays massive swan dive has continued. While it is true that injuries have plagued the team, it is also true that manager Gibbons has made some critical errors as well. It seems like the Jays still have a lot of talent but the current coaching staff just isn't getting it out of them. Vernon is having a mediocre year and Frank Thomas continues to be a non-factor. Is it time to change managers, maybe bring in a real hardass who can push the players a bit (Lou Pinella type)? So far Gibbons just hasn't shown he can do much with the team, even when its healthy.

Firstly, and a tad off topic, awesome avatar, Raist is awesome. Secondly, I don't think he should go, he's good, and I like him, more importantly the team likes him. Thomas I believe is just trying to hard. Also keep in mind the swan dive could just be reflecting a drop in morale. We've lost our best catcher, best closer... oh and let's see who else, Johnson. Halladay... Glaus went and got himself hurt again. and if I remember correctly VW is recovering from something he caught down in the states. They don't even know what it was, but he's obviousley not back 100% from it yet. although I will say if he doesn't manage to shape things up before the beginning of next season it might be time to start shopping around.

For a new GM that is. And randomly, we're currently owning Tampa... so well... that doesn't really say much does it? :p
