Do you like talking a lot? Are you a chatter box or a quiet person?

Talking is the most pwerful medium of expression. But some people are more expressive than the others. They talk a lot.But some like to be quiet and talk only when necessary. But for company a chatter-box is more welcome than a quiet friend, because in their company one doesn't get bored. But sometimes it can be quite irritating, specially if you have to concentrate on something. Do you talk a lot? Do you come up with intersting things to talk about? or, Are you a quiet person? Whom would you like to have as a companion? A talkative friend or a non- talkative one?

I consider myself as a quiet person. But it doesn't mean that I don't talk when I have something to say. I believe that you just have to be quiet and think over of the things appropriate and proper to say than spit out all that you can think of. I'd rather be with sensible talkers who talk not so often than with those chatter-boxes who don't have anything good or sensible to say, just noise. lol!

I think for the most part I'm a pretty quite person but if I have something to say, I will say it. I think I find people that talk alot kind of irritating, but thats just me. I guess I'm more a man of action than talk. Take care!!

I just cannot keep quiet. It is very difficult for me to remain silent...if I am sitting with known persons. ...I would love to share my views with them and would love to hear their experience. I think talking is an effective medium of communication .....and it gives you a platform to air your ideas and views. I would love to talk and talk... What about YOu? Worthy? Are you talktive or otherwise? deepak

I was thinking on these lines....you appear to me a talktive and bold perosn...who can voice her opinions and thoughts boldly. The more expereince you get in life...you will get to learn gradually how not to speak openly to others (I mean how to control your emotions etc.)...Lol!! deepak

Iam not a chatter box but like to talk more and hate to keep quiet which is totally impossible for me.Iam interested to be in company with people who talk well. This can bring out the good and bad aspects of people which is very difficult to assume in case of a calm person. I will adjust to the situation as when someone is busy concentrating in a work i will not disturb him/her with my talks.I can keep quiet in such situations.

I am more of a quiet person if you would to ask me. However, I can be quite chatty if I am comfortable with the person and we have a common interest to share.

Yes, I do like to talk a lot but mainly only if I am talking with friends or about something that I really love. I know that a lot of my friends off line they say that they really miss being around me as I always brighten their day they could forget what they were worried about if I was around and give them a laugh and that way I know they appreciate my friendship and me talking to them. I have both these kind of friends.

yaa, i use to talk a lot before . after amrriage there are huge changes that comes into one's life. and one such change that came into my life was keeping quite. i was very bubbly, talkative and happy girl. after marriage i changed and became quite, silent, super silent. my parents say that now they dont feel me the same old daughter as it was before. i never liked the company of bore people. i like people who mix up with u easily.

I am guilty of talking too much.I must have had the turtle pill when I was young, lol, but my friends don't complain :-P There are times when I could be quiet and reserved .In those times ,I answer to whatever questions are thrown at me and don't bug people with my expository or inquisitive attitude. But unfortunately that doesn't last too long. I am fond of both talkative and silent friends as they both give me enough scope to me myself in different moods, but perhaps I would prefer someone in between.

I'm a quiet boy.I don't think a quiet person is popular among others.Take me for example,i only have few friends, cause i don't like speak without quitting,so it's a little bit embrassing when i'm together with my friends.Ah oh!!!I wanna change the personality, but it seems to be difficult.Although it's difficult,i'll try my best to improve.

When I first meet someone Im alittle quite. But once I feel comfortable with you I can express my feelings openly. Sometime I can get in a talkative mood. And other times I can be quite. I like people that talk alot. I dont find it irrating at all.

Hi Worthy, I am generallyvery guarded while talking to strangers.I take time to open up.Basically I am a little shy person.lol.But those who don't know me,think I am an arrogant person.I very well know that I am not. Those who know me well do understand that I am basically a very sweet person.Lol!:P In the company of my loved ones and with whom I am very friendly and comfortable,I turn into an adorable and impossible chatter box.Do you agree? :-D

Hi Worthy! I think I'm both, but it will depend on the person I'm with. I mean if she/he is a chatter box, I tend to be quiet and sometimes even forget what I was going to share or advice.~~lol And sometimes, I'm a chatter box too, especially if I'm incredibly happy that day. Or I'm in a funny "mode", mean teasing and joking a lot. But eventually, I would end up quiet, too embarrassed for having say too much, which makes me clumsy at times.~~lol By the way, thank you for your sweet comment!!! Have a great day!!(^^,)

Yes my dear I have to agree to my faults of being a great chatterbox so much so I had a very funny incident in my college days We were having our English class on Keats and the whole class was discussing it with our teacher but at some point the whole discussion was absolutely between me and my teacher only and suddenly one of my classmates asked something and I started with the answer ... this friend of mine said " Dea can you shut up for 2 minutes till I get my two bit of thinking out in open". Everyone started laughing... after that I tried to keep quiet and not hijack the whole discussion! Well that was a long time ago but still I talk a lot in comparison to other people I feel. But I tend to laugh at myself a lot and start new conversations so that the time spent with friends is lively. thanks for asking :)

thanks for replying Dea. by the way I dont think being a chatterbox is a crime. cmmon buddy, its people like you and me who keep alive boring discussions and social evenings with our interesting topics and our ability to go on and on and on...Lol! I do agree that talkitive people should take care that they allow others also to talk freely. I try to do that, and I guess, so do you!

yes social occasions would be boring if conversation starters like you and me were not around. Though I keep out of the reach of Gossipy people hate gossip and so I am not a conversation starter with people who are known to be big juicy tall tale tellers! I keep away from this infection called gossipping

actually i am a silent person , talk whenever necessary. i try to give message through eyes and facial expressions, i do have a good voice and can change my tone, so even though quiet, i do sound firm, sometimes harsh that is if i want to be, regarding friends i dont mind any kind of person talkitive or not as long as he is a "friend" in the correct sens

Although i don't consider myself a chatterbox person, i am also not the quiet-type of person. i just believe that you can learn more by listening to what others have to say than doing all the talking myself.

Thats a good point. Silence is also key in negotiation sometimes i find that people who talk all the time don't know how to listen. By the look of your post count i'd say you're not much of a chatterbox person!
