Do you have any memory that you want to 'DELETE' in your mind??

Not all of the things that happen in our life is pleasant. Surely, there are events which we wish we could totally forget - events which we want to 'delete' in our mind. In my case, I really would want to delete memories of some of my high school days when I haven't got many friends and I got bullied many times. I felt so insecure then and I believe that was the lowest point of my life. The memories of those days still haunt me and I dont like the feeling. Your turn!! Do you have any memory that you want to forget so badly?? What are these memories?? Please share it here..

There's many many memories that i have that i could easily say that i would like to forget, and i'm not about to share them because they revolve around a nature that would make many people very very angry towards certain people in my life know me and like me or not, it's just the nature of those memories... BUT! I don't want to forget, because forgetting would bring me back to where i would have been. Each memory that i have and ever will have is a part of who i am, every thing that happens shapes everyone as an individual, and without those memories, you can turn into someone else. The bad memories show you how to grow and be a better person, and how to change your and others circumstances for the better so that others may not have such a hard time. This is exactly why i would never want to forget the things hat have happened to me, no matter how bad, or how much they haunt me.

I do have quite a few memories that I wish I could just delete, bad things that have happened to me in the past which i do not wish to share but at the same time I belive that all of my past experiences and memories have made me who I am today and they have all made me smarter or stronger.

Yeah, I sure do! There was a very embarrassing moment when I was in physical education class in high school, and we were diving at the local swimming pool, and the top part of my one-piece swimming suit completely came off by accident in front of everyone! It took me forever to live that down! Word got around so fast! YIKES! It was on when I was in the pool! No idea what happened!

Oh, yeah! Word got around all of the small city before I even got home that afternoon! In fact, my father told me about it as soon as I got home, before I even had a chance to tell him what happened! EEEEEEKS!

I have a few things that I would like to erase. Out of memorie .- out of mind. At the same time, some of those events and memories has helped me become the person I am today and that person I really like =) Instead I have worked through all my memories and had them analyzed and in some way forgotten =)

Mine is rather personal..i want to delete the memory where i lost my very first unborn child, it was rather very hurtful and at that point in my life i nearly went crazy because of sadness. I want to delete it because i sometimes have nightmares and it all comes back to me everytime i look at my two children.

Well I wouldn't mind deleting around 38 years of my live and emptying the tape and putting something else on the film as I really have had a rough time of it. Even today I was thinking, why the hell bother with any thing any more? I am fed up of struggling, when AM I actually going to start living? Sorry I am a bit on a downer today, too tired and very miffed in general.

Well I would have to agree with you on that one. I too, was bullied and picked on. Both verbally and physically. It was definetely a defining moment in my life. I have a hard time thinking about it, and wish I could get it out of my head. I too felt insecure. I talk to other people who have also were teased and taunted, and they too, aren't what they think they would be, if it had not been for the cruelty. People may say, oh that is kid stuff, but it is not kids stuff. When you grow up and you are a kid, those are the most impressionable years of your life. That is going to determine who you will be, and what you think of yourslef. It can make an individual achieve what they want, or to be a beaten dog. In any event, it will affect you, regardless of what you acquire in the other parts of your life. You are around your own peers most of the day, so they really are the ones molding you. It amazes me how some people can say that it is kid stuff, but if it were there child they would be upset. Or if you were trying to get ahead at work, and someone was keeping you from getting to where you wanted, either by saying things about you, or something else you wouldn't appreciate someone saying, well suck it up, that is what happens with climbing the social ladder. In any event vesuvius, I totally understand. Sorry for my venting, I just had to add on more about it.

I won't delete anything. Memories are what make you who you are. Experiences change you, usually for the better. Experiences change your outlook on the world. It usually make you understand it better. How can you be a better person if you don't have any mistakes to learn from? Well to answer your question, I wouldn't remember what my bf did to hurt me. However I wouldn't delete it. I will learn from the mistakes of this relationship to help me do better in the next relationship.

I was a paramedic with search & rescue training, a paratrooper and did disaster response missions for 20 years. I'm now burned out and unable to work... There are many memories I wish I could "delete", but I'm sure there are people alive today who appreciate the fact that I was there at the time... at least I hope there are.
