Google Adsense Is it really a scam?

I need to know more about Google Adsense, I know alot of you Mylotters has blogs, so if it is through google you half to have Adsense to get paid for your Blogs, can you tell me some experiences that you have with google Adsense, one of my friends here said it is a scam? is that true? I need to know. because I will be making several blogs. I did get registered, but don't know how to finish registering it. I went through giving all the important information to get paid I just hadn't finished it. they want your Soc, Sec Number for tax purposes. they is as far as I went. another thing I want to know how they put in the Advertisements so you can get traffic.

It isn't a scam, but I found it really hard to finish. I don't understand how to put the adds on.
