Iknew it was coming everyone says it ....oh poor you 3 girls you are going to have a hard time, but my girls are very well behaved and polite which I am greatful for. Recently my 6 yr old almost 7 has started getting a little attitude with me, this morning I asked her to go put her shoes on for school and she actually looked at me and said "I dont want to" I was shocked. I need to nip this in the bud now before she gets older and things start spiraling out of control! Help. any suggestions?

Just give her some sort of punishment when she acts like that. And be consistent with it, if you aren't she will push even more and get a worse attitude!! My daughter is 6 and I make her go lay down in her bed for a few minutes to think about her attitude, then I go in and talk to her about how it isn't nice to act that way. Some days she doesn't care like yesterday I had to send her to our room to lay down so she wouldn't have anything fun to look at =) Tell her you will not tolerate her acting that way because you want to have a little girl (or big girl) that behaves nicely and not in a rude way. Good luck!!!

I agree with this. You have to do something so she knows she cannot behave like that. Start taking toys or tv time away till she stops acting like that. My 6 year old yelled at me the other day,I'am not having that kind of stuff so I took his gameboy away for a week. It might sound like a harsh punishment for just yelling at me,but it worked. He has even been more helpful in assisting with chores.Stop it now while you can girl!
