How do you clean your mini blinds?

My venetian blinds, mini blinds, are getting dusty. How do I clean them? This is a new house and in our old house I woul dtake them down and put them in the bathtub but then had to take them outside and hand over bannister of front porch and wipe each blade down to get all dust off. I hopy you have easier method?

Hi Mamacathie, well I did tell you yesturday in my discussion how you can do this much more easier but apart from that I would use my feather duster to clean my blinds, as I do have mini blinds as well. I think that this is much more easier than washing them all the time and I do not want to break mine.

this might sound like a lot of work, but I take mine down, soap them real good with lots of soap and a sponge, and then hose them or pour water on them..all this is done outside so I don't make a mess in the house...

They make a neat little duster for mini blinds. It has sheepskin or foam on it and is designed to slide over and under each separate piece of the blind. You can do several sections of the blind at a time, and it makes dusting them a breeze! I am not even sure where mine came from.
