Please pray for me, this is going to be a sad Mother's Day.

oh, you are in my prayers for sure! i am so sorry to hear this. i really do not know what i would do without my mother. and even when my mom lost HER mom YEARS and YEARS ago, it is STILL hard for her on mother's day. our mother's are VERY important to us. and this day is so special and such a wonderful way of giving them respect, and thanks. but i know this one will be real hard on you, and i will pray that you will think of the happy memories you two shared. she will be with you on this special day, no doubt. talk to her, and thank her, even though she is not sitting right next to you, she's there. good luck honey. you sound like a very wonderful person. are you a mother? if so, happy mother's day to you. AND to your mom, bless her soul.

You are not alone here I also lost my mamma in dec this past year and it will also be my first year with out my mamma and im not sure how im gonna get thru the day. I was with my mamma when she left u also and I saw the pleasure as she was about to enter a better place.One thing we did to help us feel some better was to start a memorial garden in our yard for our mamma we let the kids and grandkids to plant what they knew my mamma loved and we will all share the garen together, my son bought a beautifull memory bench to put there. I will be praying for you and hope you make it thru ok.

Hi I know what your going through. I am not an only child I am the eldest. One one of my three siblings however ever talks to me. Now that mom is gone they transferred their hate and anger for all the bad things in life that happened to them, from my mom to me. Before that they transferred it from my dad who passed away 10 years ago come August to my mom. My mom passed away two years ago a day before her 75th birthday in April. So this is the second Mother's day she has been gone from us. My younger brother calls me sometimes. As a mom I have four kids too, My oldest son because of his wife who does not like me and never has won't call or send a card. We have not seen him for months. Pray for him to be a man and not let his wife keep him from his parents. She is always with her mom literally daily and expects him to be too. So I have saddness too and hurt.

My heart goes out to you. Remember she is always in your heart and you can still give her flowers on the grave. I am praying for you to get through this .

i'm so sorry to hear that...i know you'll get thru it, don't worry. i can't imagine a world without my mom. although we have our rows and don't see eye to eye sometimes, i love her to bits and i don't ever want to live without her..if only that's possible..i hope you have a wonderful mother's day, among your loved ones. take care :)

Hi Mamacathie, Yes I know what it is like without a Mother as I lost my mother too I am 55 and my adopted mother was 77 as well when she passed away, I miss my adopted mother as well. I was the only child that she adopted. But due to it is going to be your first Mothers Day without her I sympathize with you and understand it is very difficult especially the first year, and of course my prays are with you my dear friend

Yes Cathie I will pray for you this mothers day. I can't say I understand how you feel because I really don't but I will be there for you if you need. I will pray for you all this week and especially on mother's day. God will help you get through this sad day. God will bless you on mother's day.

i'm sorry for that cathie..sometimes, in our life we don't know that we need to cry and be lonely..like what happened to you..it's so painful because our mother is our partner, that she is the one who knows our feeling, that she's always there to give us comfort and care, that her love is unselfish and unconditional..and we are so thankful that we have a mom like that..and yes, i will pray for you mom and dad and for this Mother's day, you should be happy because i'm sure your mom would be sad if your sad..Cheers..:) HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO YOU MOMMY..

Moms are so special and so important and when they are gone, it is painful.But sweetie, take a few minutes of your time and close your eyes and your mom will be right there with you in spirit.When you lay those flowers on her grave, lean down and tell her how much you love her and Happy Mother's Day.Remember although our loved ones are gone from our lives, they will forever live in our hearts and we cherish all those memories. I am very sorry to hear that. I am also only one child for my parents. I'm 31 now and my parents are still with us. Sometimes it'll worry me and it's hard for me to think if one day they leave me. I hope you won't go so sad, as you know your parents want you to be happy. When they see you from the heaven, I'm sure they want to see your smile than tears. They are in the heaven in pease now, so please try to cheer up. You are still with your family and friends.

Cathie, You are in my prayers. The first year is always the hardest, then it gets a little easier. But, I don't think the pain ever really goes away.

My sympathys for the passing of your Mother. I lost mine back in 2001. It is sad and emotionally at any age that you lose someone close to you. My husband lost his Mom on Mothers Day, so this day is always rough for him. Please try to keep your chin up and remember all of the happy times you had together.

Sorry for your losses. You just have to remember that they are in a better place and together. It sounds like she went with a smile and like you said with someone there to greet her. Just try to keep her in your heart on Mother's Day and that is all you need...I hope you have a nice mother's day with your family....

Hi Mamacathie I will pray for you. I know the hurt, saddness and feeling your experincing. I am not an only child but the oldest of four. However two of my siblings are by their choice estranged from me. I lost my mama 12 hours short of her 75th birthday two years and 2 months ago. Daddy went 10 years ago come August 4 days before my birthday. I deeply miss them both. It does get easier. I still ache at times to pick up a phone and call one or the other but I have lots of memories, photos, letters and stories from both and it helps.

Don't be sad. As you have said, they're both in a better place right now.
