I speak a few languages such as English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Flemish (is almost the same as Dutch), some Spanish and a little Portugese, some Tshiluba and a few words in Turkish, a few words in Arab, some Ewe or Mina, some Pigeon English... I'd love to learn more and more... go the world around and learn all the languages. Wouldn't that be neat?

How good from you! German and dutch are indeed languages with a same base. A fact is that they are difficult. What is your native language?

I used to volunteer at a Nursing Home and a lot of different nationalities would come and go, I used like to learn a couple of words from each, it was nice to see the smiles from the old folk when you would greet them in their oen language.....

My son's godmother's daughter also works in a home for elderly. She has one lady who speaks only english but does not speak english herself. Sometimes she asks me to write her down a few words, so she could wish her a happy birthday, or have you slept well... The lady likes her a lot. A few words can do indeed wonders.

That's a lot of languages. I only speak English, and I know some sign language, but not the grammar. I would love to know French, Hebrew, and I taught myself some Gaelic, but I forgot it. I'd also like to learn Danish.
