I remember Sesame Street and Mr. Roger's Neighborhood and Captain Kangaroo. Bewitched also comes into mind from the early years. I loved these shows as a child, and I still love to watch TV now.

No, sorry. I'm 39 years old and I can't recall the very first thing I ever saw on television. Going back to being a baby it was probably something black and white that my parents or grandmother was watching.

My first tv show was either "Mickey Mouse Club" or "Howdy Doody". How's that for showing my age!!! We didn't have color TV until "Bonanza" was on the air.

Well i remember watching cartoon serials like spiderman, He man, mickey mouse and donald duck. Then i also used watch comedies like charlie chaplin. I also watched mythological serials like ramayan and mahabharata wtih interest. At the same time my favourite family soaps like buniyaad, humlog used to be aired at that time. good luck folks. :)

Stop being silly, when you were a kid the family gathered around the radio. I bet were were listening when the Hindenberg blew up... tell us the truth.

It's very hard to say which was my “first” because I only remember that we (my brothers, my sister and I) watched a lot of TV! However, another member at this site mentioned the name of a kids TV show that for sure provokes wondeful memories. If it wasn't my first, it positively contributed to my early childhood development, so it was definitely important for my formative years.
Captain Kangaroo.
I used to watch it religiously when I was young! I just loved Mr. Greenjeans and everyone! Did you ever watch it and what do you remember most about it?
