the choice between love and job

One of my friends will graduate this term.He applied for a job and accepted luckly.The company is in North,but his girlfriend was willing to stay in south.on the one hand,if he choose the job,his girlfriend will leave him.On the other hand the job was very fit to him.So he hesitated.If you were him,how to choose?
