Mine is GSM, but there is CDMA in china too. GSM nearly hold all the market, but CDMA is still alive.

CDMA is Verizon - GSM is Tmobile and Cingular. Just depends on the area you are in as far as reception. Ask around in the areas you are going to be the most and find out who is having the least problems with dropped calls. Cingular and Tmobile roam off each others towers - however they don't roam off Verizon and vice versa (different technologies) so keep that in mind if you travel a lot - look at who has what coverage in what area. Remember, phones are cool and all, but not worth a dang if you aren't getting consistant reception.

I have both. In Indonesia, CDMA is cheaper than GSM. But GSM network is better than CDMA.
