What do you do when you're in a super bad mood?

Do you lock yourself away from others to avoid killing someone or do you just alert them that you're not in the mood and hope they leave you alone? I'm torn between which one to do. I'm in a bit of a mood tonight and I just want to look at my kids and go "just leave me alone" LOL Of course, they're in the most talkative mood ever and all I want to do is disappear from the world tonight before I kill someone! LOL

I know it's almost impossible to escape from the kids but I put on some classical music or if possible pick up a good book. I don't have anything to compare the stress of dealing with kids but I'd try listening to whatever music mellows you out. ‹(°¿°)›

There's no doubt about that. Though I never had children the woman I married had 3 teen sons. Two now have 2 children each. Children do indeed know the worst time to become little devils or she devils. It's all part of their testing their new found manipulative abilities. My wife and I are in the envious roles as grand- parents. We get to be the nice ones while their parents get to be the disciplinarians. ‹(°¿°)›

My stepson and husband say that the P in PMS stands for PERPETUAL in my case. I guess I am always in a bad mood in their eyes. When I am REALLY bad off I want to hide in sleep.

LOL... it depends on the "when and where" of me being in a bad mood, I think. But, usually, I let the family know that I'm in lousy mood, for whatever reason, and I warn them that I'm not likely to react well if they get on my nerves :D They've learned, over time, that I mean what I say LOL

Sounds like me this morning- I was great until me daughter unleashed her I'm almost 11 attitude on me- I wanted to beat her- Of course I didn't- we were in the car on the way to daycare- I calmy told her that when we got home from school she was to cart her hind end to her room and stay there- then when I dropped her off- I cranked the music as loud as my ears could stand it and sang at the top of my voice- the whole way to work! 30 minutes- Other cars on the highway- watch out! Usually when I'm in a bad mood- I just say I'm miserable leave me alone- or my attitude lets people know to stear clear of me.

I believe there is not a person alive who does go through this one quite often. I used to just close myself up in my room when the kids were younger cause i couldnt very well leave them alone. Now that the kids are older and things bother me like that i go for a walk or jump into the car and go for a drive get a coffee and just simmer down some.

I usually announce that I am not in a good mood and will avoid everyone that I can, if it takes locking myself in a room to not be mean to my family and friends than that is what I will do.

well i usually lock myself away, but now i have a kid too so i usually just try to pay attention to her and get my mind off whatever the problem is. If its my hubby i tell him to go have a smoke outside and stop pickin at me cause im in a bad mood. I usually am only in a bad mood when i got PMS! lol he understands i'm not liable for anything that comes out of my mouth for a good week, and i warn him when its coming on. lol. sometimes he spends a lot of time outside.. i dunno what he does out there.. but i could care less!
