well tft means Thin-Film Transistor.)it is a technology to improve image quality.TFT LCD is one type of active matrix LCD, though it is usually synonymous with LCD.thin film transistor (TFT) is a special kind of field effect transistor made by depositing thin films for the metallic contacts, semiconductor active layer, and dielectric layer The channel region of a TFT is a thin film that is deposited onto a substrate (often glass, since the primary application of TFTs is in liquid crystal displays)The TFT technology provides the best resolution of all the flat-panel techniques, but it is also the most expensive.TFT screens are sometimes called active-matrix LCDs. short for liquid crystal display the lcd utilizes two sheets of polarising material with a liquid crystal solution between them An electric current passed through the the liquid causes the crystals to align so that light cannot pass through them Each crystal, therefore, is like a shutter, either allowing light to pass through it or blocking it
