The best thing you do with the newspaper after reading it...

We wrap vegitables with used newspapers before putting them in the fridge. It keeps the veggies fresh up to some point cos it absorbs moisture. We also sell out the used papers to the nearby boutique so that they can wrap different things with them. We also spread newspapers on the floor before letting our daughter do her painting or otherwise she'll spill paint and water on the floor. There are a number of uses of old newspapers, so we never throw them away.

we use them to line the bottom of our birdcages! works great too.
