Salvation is from God through Jesus ransom sacrifice, but once saved are we always saved?

Hi angie! When you say once saved we are always save do you mean that even how we live our life in this world we are still save? Please elaborate on this. God bless.

Where in the bible would you find that verse that a person once save are always save. Why does the Letter of James 2:14 states that "What good is it my brothers and sisters, to profess faith without showing works? Such faith has no power to save you." god bless.

I didn't say it was in the bible but alot of people think that they can go to confession and confess their sins and they are saved but it doesn't work that way, we have to show that what we confess to we mean, by changing our bad ways not just confessing to them. Jude 1: 5 I desire to remind you despite you knowing all things once for all time, that Jehovah although he saved a people out of Egypt, afterwards destroyed those not showing faith. Mathew 24:13 "He who endures to the end will be saved." So a persons final salvation is not determined at the moment that he begins to put faith in Jesus and God.

It seems you are contradicting what you have stated that once save we are always save how would you reconcile that with your later statement. I am confused.

Once saved you are saved, provided you don't break Gods law.If you break the law when you are saved, youre saving grace is cancelled and you must repent for your sin and ask for forgiveness from the person to whom you commit sin or ask forgiveness to God if your sin is against God.Salvation from our lord is always there and you only need to repent, but if you are doing it again and again knowing that God will forgive you,i believe that sin is unforgivable.Because we are humans,we are weak to temptations, and when we are tempted to sin ,that is the sin that God forgives.

What i'm trying to say is this,if you commit sin intentionally because you know that God will forgive you;then i believe it is not forgivable, you are cheating Gods grace and wisdom.Your example about you and me,is far more different from God and man.We are both humans, and forgiveness of sin is about God and man,i mean the salvation of man.

I see your point there. Although, I believe that if one intentionally commits sin simply because God is supposed to forgive they should look at themselves and ask if they had been saved to begin with.

You are so right God wants us to say we are sorry and mean it from the bottom of our hearts, if we can do that then he will forgive us.

Well, it is just like any relationship..it takes nurturing and work to create and keep a good relationship, this is the same with your relationship with God and Jesus

Yes Stacy you are right we also need a full understanding of his word and by studing the bible we learn to understand it, and then God can give us the wisdom to hold on to the truth with all our might.

We are always save, cos it wasn't done for a period of time, it was done for us to enjoy it not only here on earth, but also in Heaven. When Jesus was ascending to Heaven, He made a promise that He will always be with us, till the end of time. We are always save in Christ Jesus, only if we are having a true and sincere relationship with him. Thanks and have a nice day.

We are only saved if we show genuine remorse for what we have done wrong, if we don't repent truthfully then we won't be forgiven.
