My cousin constructed a mountain resort wherein the whole family could spend some time together under the sun and swimming. The resort is located about 40 minutes outside the city. 3 kilometers from the resort itself is another commercial resort called Hidden Paradise that provides another option for us in case we want to be in a much bigger area. We could hike, camp and swim in my cousins resort. We are there for past weekends and the kids just love it there and have really learned to swim and became comfortable in the water. The older children before swimming went on a hike because there is a waterfalls and river about 2 kilometers from the resort itself. I just love it there, the fresh air and all the fun. Last Sunday my cousin mentioned to me of her plans of making bridge so that would take us accross the other side of the mountain. She keeps on expanding and making the resort bigger and bigger and we look forward on seeing (every week) what is new. How about you? What is your favorite weekend getaway?

That sounds so wonderful and peaceful also. When my chikldren were little ones we would visit mom & dads farm property camping. It's 150 miles north of us in the "boondocks". Their nearest neighbor was a mile away. very remote, very quiet and very very serene. We all loved it. Now that I am taking care of my father there isn't time for any family weekend getaway. But when we're lucky enough to get one of the children to keep an eye on dad for 1 day we will get a motel room at the local casino and spend the day there. Mostly using the pool, sauna, spa, and exercise room. Of course once my wife hits the pillow and falls asleep I'm on the casino floor having a blast at the penny machines. Hahaha. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Your family farm is really far Grandpa Bob and sounds a lot of fun too. Its understandable that you cant spend as much time there as you want now that you have take your care of your Dad and I hope my turn would still be a long long way away. We just have to make the best that we can to enjoy life and savor whatever precious moments we could have to ourselves. I am just glad that everything here is less than an hour away even the beach. When my grandmother was still alive but could hardly walk, we still got to bring her to the beach with us since she doesn't want to be left behind. She enjoyed seeing us and somehow still join us having fun. Thanks very much for sharing Grandpa Bob! May you have more fun but not too much in the casino.LOL!
