Hello everyone, Do you ever "fume" and "fret"? If so how often it is? Here is a picture of yourself if you do. The word "fume" means to boil up, to blow off, to emit vapor, to be agitated, to be destraught, to seethe. The word "fret" is equally descriptive. It is reminscent of a sick child in the night, a petulant half cry, half annoying, penetrating qaulity. To fret is a childish term but it describe the emotional reaction of many adults. The Bible advices us to "Fret not thyself...."(Psalm 37:1). This is sound advice for the people of our time. we need to stop fuming and fretting and get a peaceful if we are to have power to live effectively. Godbless! and happy posting!

OH yeah, I worry. Sometimes there are things worth worrying about. But worrying also triggers me to act when I can... Like buying a house, I worry about the cost, so I run a financial analysis to see how much we can afford. Or like worrying about getting pregnant, I do research and talk to my doctor about it. The worry trigger helps me realize that something that upsets me must be important, so I should act against it.

No, I don't agree. If I never worried about ANYTHING then I'd never do anything to FIX things that were wrong in my life. If I ignored it, then I'd let bad things just HAPPEN without doing anything to stop it, or fix it. So no, I don't have to stop worrying. Worry is a natural reaction that alerts me that something is wrong, and then I can take action. It's my JOB to take care of things in my life. The bible doens't tell me to just sit back and let things happen to me. SO I have no problem with worrying sometimes.

I have to admit, I'm not really a fretter, but I have been known to fume! I do picture myself sitting quietly with steam rising from my head. Very cartoonish, don't you think? But, it does no good and is thankfully usually short-lived!

Everybody in this world fumes and frets. If you dont you are not human but superhuman:). Some fume and fret lot lesser than others. That is the only difference. In modern world forget about peace, there is not peace in this world, check about happenings around you, wars, politics, abuse to humanity, killings, bloodshed. Being a peace lover I would always wish and pray that "May peace prevail on earth and may the blood shed stop, forever". But seems highly unlikely.

Hi, No I do not fume very much these days as I have learnt that you do not get any where with doing this... or fret but I used to do this some times while I was growing up and certain things would happen to make me feel upset then I would of course fret. When some one tries to make me feel like this I turn to God for his guidance.

Ofcourse every human being have to fret and fume at one time or another in their lives. I have done that at so many occasions. It is easy to say not to fret and fume. But it is not so easy to do that. When such occasions arise how can we remain calm? So fretting and fuming at times is only natural to all living things, even though it is not quite good for heath. But we can't help it.

I never really thought about it, at times I guess I do, then I pray, and try to keep in mind that God doesn't want me to fret, or even worry because He is in control.

i rarely do get mad at people. that's why a lot of people tell me that i'm so friendly. the fact is when i do get mad i tend to hide that fact - the more you show your anger, the more you tell people that you're not in control anymore. i just maintain my composure, hide it inside, and plan my revenge while showing a happy face. but when i do fume - and lose the nuts in my head and go insane, i do talk loud - no, i shout! and definitely there should be some space between me and my enemy - i could really be violent.
