It depends. If it the pop is out of a bottle or can, I don't like any ice at all. If it is from a fountain, I put the ice in first, then the drink.
For some reason ice seems to change the taste of carbonated water for me, but not CO2.

I generally don't drink cola drinks such as pepsi or coke. If I drink something like that I usually drink Diet 7-up. I usually don't use ice cubes. If I do, I put the ice cubes in the glass and then pour. If I do it the other way, the drink spills a little bit out the glass which is not fun if it gets on stuff around it. Have a nice day.

Well I personally prefer to put the ice in first always. I don't like putting ice in, when there is liquid, because the ice makes the liquid splash, and you have to be more careful about putting the ice in, and or you can't put in the ice you want cause there isn't enough room.

Hi Deep, I always put the ice cubes first in the glasses and then pour the drinks into it. As I am very much fussy about the cleanliness especially in my kitchen, so I always prefer to make sure that anything doesnt get spill over there while pouring drinks and all. So putting ice cubes after wards really sometimes makes the drink spill over around :-)

I don't like ice in my soft drinks. If it is a fountain drink I usually take it straight. It's cold enough that way. Cans and bottles are usually kept in the fridge, but if I need them cold faster I will stick them in the freezer until they get slightly slushy! YUM!
