A Computer with 2 or more NIC

Dear Friends
I am working on a project consisting computers with 2 or more nics.
I should write a socket programming solution for these computers. I dont know how should I select IP addresses for them. ( can I use IPs for 1 network domain).
and I want to know how can I differ NICs while programming.
