any mylotter using avira antivirus personal classic free edition here?

i am using this software and it is good so far.i heard comments here mcafee and norton create viruses and malware .so i suggest you to use avira.they announced it is spyware free.give me you feedback if you are using this software and suggest me a good one if you know any other

Yes, I use avira antivir. I had before two different free antivirus software and I also had norton, too.
Avira I am content with. It is good antivirus software. I did download it at freenet.
I have it for two years now. They update it automatically everyday when I surf.
I had a trojan twice and I downloaded mcaffee stinger. stinger and antivir get along. And one can run antivir and zonealarm firewall, that is a good match, too.
That is all free software at no extra cost.

From what I heard the free version of avira offers no protection against spyware and adware or does it offer protection against email viruses.
I don't know where you got your info from but Norton and mcafee do not create viruses and malware. You are misinformed.

Avira can be good I am sure in many ways, as its better then no protection at all.
But to compare Avira with Norton or McAffe saying they produce mailware or viruses is ludicrus.
Norton and McAffee are one of the more popular solutions used widley by computer users this is a known fact, so therefore they are targeted more then third party tier virus scanners...by hackers and more trojans or worms then anyother...
I have been an IT and a Microsoft Certified Computer technician for almost 12 years, and in all my years I have never seen Norton produce any viruses or mailware.
Yes I have delt with clients computers that have been infected while using Norton or McAffee but in most cases it was user error for not updating the virus definitions and keeping the programs up to date!
I use Norton System Works 2007 Corperate and prefer it over any.. I personally don't recommend McAffee to my clients for my own personal reasons as I have seen to many viruses slip by!
