Shortage of coins

In my state kerala(south-India),we are facing problem of shortage of coins.It is very difficult to get 50paise,1.00rupee and 2.00rupee coin from the shops as change,if we buy anything.Some washer manufacuring companies are collecting the coins for double amount for making washers with coins.It is more profitabe business for them.

Hi sreejithsreenivas! I never knew there is shortage of coins in Kerala. You can get coins from your Banker on request for any amount you want. The Petrol Bunk people also accumulate a lot of coins so they should have no problem giving you change.
