heat sink - a better heat sink can help your processor to extend its life span.
it is over-heating for sure, since as you said, you've just used it for morethan 4 hrs before it turn itself to shutdown. I suggest to get a better cooling system if you can't afford to loose your PC.

i can tell two things which may cause the problem : 1) over heating - because celeron processors can't bear much heat. 2) your mother board is not compatible with your processor.

If the processor is not compatible with the motherboard, the computer won't even POST, so I don't think that's the problem.

processor must be heating up i guess...or mother board compatibility issues....celrons r generally unstable... change ur processor dude...or could be some bug in ur system....

I may be guessing here, but I'll bet that your processer is overheating. Check the fan on your cpu to see if it is spinning. Also check the fans in your power supply because that may cause this to. Goodluck and let me know how this works. Take care. Terry

I think your problem is over-heating. Celeron, unlike Pentium cannot withstand heat. My suggestion is for you to open the side case, pull out the power supply, and put it on top of your tower casing.Next, put an electric fan facing the open side of your computer. Try it and see what happens. Good luck

The PC is probably overheating. For how long have you had this computer? Have you ever cleaned the insides? The accumulation of dust on the fans hinders airflow, causing the insides to raise in temperature. There is nothing wrong with the Celeron's, they are just slower versions of Pentium's with reduced cache, so it's not the processor fault.

You need to explain how it gets shutdown, does it just go off, or performs a proper windows shutdown

I think the only way to get rid of your problem is to get a computer with a different processor. Celerons weren't known for their stability.
