Hamburger Helper

When we were young and poor we used to enjoy Hamburger Helper. Now that we are better off I make my own version and put actual vegetables in it. I fry up the ground beef with onion and mushroom and minced garlic. Meanwhile I make a cheese sauce and boil up some macaroni or whatever pasta I have on hand. Then I mix it all together and put it in a casserole dish. I cover it with grated cheese and breadcrumbs and throw it into the oven at 350 degrees for about 20mins or until the cheese is bubbly. But I confess about every year or so I make it for old times sake.

I absolutely love Hamburger Helper!!! You may think I'm weird, but I like the original kind, the plain kind.

Our favorite is the Cheeseburger Macaroni. This has been a favorite of ours for many years.
