Intonation - the tone of your voice when you speak. The words may be the same but because of the intonation the meaning or the emotion it proclain may be different. (i cant give an example since i cant speak but the pitch of your voice shows the intonation, when it gets loud or soft. With accent and emphasis or without.)
Use of words - emotions can also vary with the choice of words we use. It may have the similar meaning but the impact is different.
Like the phrases:
I hate you versus iam angry at you
You hurt me versus i was offended
Im happy to be with you versus You make me happy
I'm sorry versus Forgive me
Each may have similar meaning but when you verbalize it it ma sound better or worst.
Words shows how we feel and how much we feel it. Emotions are both shown in words a intonation. The sincerity of what you are saying may be seen through the intonation of your voice. If you really mean it or they are just words spoken.
Be careful on your choice of words and tones, because one you have already said it... you can never take it back.
