bribe a police officer

Would you ever bribe a cop to get out of paying a ticket? If so, why, and if you have what happened? If you have a family member or close friend as a cop, have you ever used that as an excuse? My brother is a cop, and I have gotten pulled over a couple of times, but I have never said, or mentioned that my brother is a cop. I personally would feel uncomfortable about that, and would feel like I had more egg on my face if I did, especially if I still got a ticket. Has anyone ever done that, and did it get you out of it? I am curious to know if it works.

I remember two incidents where my brother and I got off paying a speeding ticket on two different occasions. My brother was out cruising with his friends one Friday night and there was four of them in total. My brother drove an old Chevy and of course it had the full bench seat. Legally you were only supposed to have a total of three in the front and three in the back. Well they decided to pull up to this Chinese restaurant where we often went for excellent Chinese food and my brother pulled the car to a stop and the police pulled up behind him, the policeman walked up to the drivers door and he asked my brother, "Do all four of you guys need to sit in the front?" My brother figured he was going to be charged anyway so may as well wing it, so he said, "No I suppose not sir but if all four of us sat in the back who would we have drive?" The policeman was laughing so hard he walked away. The boys went in for Chinese food and every so often the police would look over and laugh. Apparently one of the guys rode in the back when they left. On a different occasion I was driving along a bit faster than usual and it happened to be that the road I was driving on eventually ended up at the Indian reserve however I was no where that far but they had been doing a bit of city work on the road and there was arrows to detour traffic and obviously slow people down somewhat, well here I am booting right along, I had a totally clean license not one ticket and I have always been so proud of my driving record as I still am and sure enough here comes the police and that red cherry spinning on the top of the police car, remember the black and white police cars we had, well anyway I get pulled over I was mortified. The policeman appeared to be in a very jovial mood and he said to me, "Did you not see the arrows back there?" Thinking quick and remembering my brothers luck, I kind of did a shoulder check and said, "Arrows sir? I didn't even see the Indians." To my surprise the policeman laughed, told me to slow down and got back in his car. I was so nervous I thought I'd wait for him to pull away first as I was taking deep breaths of relief but no I was motioned to go first and Yes I did slow down. No tickets yet. Touch wood.

i wouldn't even think of trying that where i live (not that i would).the police are notorious for getting seriously pissed off if you even try,not that i blame them.you might end up with a bigger ticket then they originally were gonna give you.

Lol, that is the reaction I would think most of them had. Some probably would even arrest you.
