hi Vale, I think that your age is about right to be thinking of starting a family. A lot of people actually have families even before they reach your age. I don't think there's a right age for it, as long as you are ready financially and mentally. There are 30 year olds who are not even ready for the commitment. I know that I have wanted children since I was 18 although I didn't pursue it at the time.

25 really isn't that young when you think about it. I had my first daughter 2 months before i turned 25 & even 25 years ago when my Mother had me, she was 25 as that was about the average age. Loko at some of the people becoming mothers now, they're still in their teens, some of them so 25 isn't as young as you think! I have family members having kids now - one is 17 & her 1st is due the day after she turns 18, another has just had her 3rd at 21 & another is having her 4th child (one pregnancy was twins but still) on her 22nd birthday. Motherhood seems to be starting earlier & earlier these days. If you think you're ready to start a family & can afford to do so, then why not do it. Remember, after 30 there are more risks involved with pregnancy & the older you are, the less energy you'll have to run around with your children! Good luck with your decision!
