Have you ever been hit (run into) with a shopping cart?

I just saw a couple of other discussions about shopping carts and it made me think of something. Have any of you even been hit by someone so eager to shop that they nearly knock you down with the cart? It happens to me almost every year on Black Friday. Black Friday for those of you who've never heard of it, is the day after Thanksgiving. The sales are great if you want to get to the stores early enough to wait in line with 200 or more people. When the doors open, the crowds surge ahead and grab carts as fast as they can and you have the option of getting one and getting stuck waiting for a spot to get thru, or going without a cart if you only want a couple of things. Either way, you take the chance of getting hit by some crazed shopper that's in too big of a hurry. I've been hit 4 or 5 times over the years. Got hit twice in one day on the same foot a couple of years ago. Woman nearly knocked me to the floor, my daughter was with me and seated in the cart and the cart started to tilt. I saved the cart, turned to the woman & gave her a dirty look and she snarled at ME like I was to blame! No apology from her at all. People are looney during Christmas shopping season.

Hey thats too risky, I mean you ere lucky that nothing happend bad either for you or for your daughter. Falls from Shopping Carts Cause Head Injuries to Children, did you know that. Next time, when things are prdicted to be this rush-rush, please do not take you daughter along with yourself, she would be safe at home.
Every year, thousands of children are treated in U.S. hospital emergency rooms for falls from shopping carts. Falls from shopping carts are among the leading causes of head injuries to young children. Injuries result when children climb or fall out of shopping carts because the restraint system was not being used, children unbuckled or wiggled out of the restraint, or the restraint was missing. Falls from shopping carts most often occur when children stand up in the child seat or the cart basket.
But yes you can prevent it all by : To prevent falls from shopping carts:
Use seatbelts to restrain your child in the cart seat.
Don't allow your child to ride in the cart basket.
Don't allow your child to ride or climb on the sides or front of the cart.
Don't allow an older child to push the cart with another child in it.

I use to work at Wal-Mart and every black friday I had to work. I was constantly getting hit with shopping carts. I have also been run into with the electric carts. I don't know which one hurts worse. I do have to agree people are crazy during the Christmas season.

No I have never really been actually "hit" with a shopping cart more like being run into by one. I dont like shopping on busy days though, I prefer to shop when there are not many people because it gets so aggravating dealing with getting through the crowds trying to get the things you want. I never go shopping the day after Thanksgiving unless it is online. :)
