In my opinion it has got the maximum number of oscars that any film has got.

I never get tired of seeing Ben Hur. I do believe you're right about the maximum number of oscars it received.
Ten Commandments is another one of my favorites.

no, it has 14 oscars . it tied up ALL ABOUT EVE , having the most oscar nominations .it was a great movie .

If i am not wrong i remember that Titanic got 14 oscar nominations and won 11 oscars. And also the most oscars won by a movie is 14 and it was by Ben Hur some 50 years back. I think so..

yes i am sure it got 11 oscars. it was a great movie and it got what it deserved. as my other friends ahve stated it got 14 nominations but got only 11. the highest oscar getting movie is indeed ben-hur which is an excellent movie and the best of its time. it got around 12-13 oscars i think.
