Some animals are surprinsingly sensitive to the plight of others.Chimpanzees, who cannot swim, have drowned in zoo moats trying to save others.Biologist argue tat this and other social behaviors are the precursor of human morality.

well , morality should be related to the Development of mind ... Humans have the power to classify some things as right , others as wrong .... as we have a developed mind .... Chimpanzes minds , based upon development , fall in a lower category than that of humans .....
Other animals ??? Do they even understand the meaning of "Philosophy"??
So I think I agree with the researchers .... and would like to state it in a more elaborate way ....
"Morality is linked to biology , mainly the development of the mind "
What say ya??
