I don't understand why you are saying "let", why should you partner require permission for anything? I don't understand men who take it for granted that they have the right to do something such as in this case play poker, but they would then decide that their partner can't.

My wife and I played poker together for two years. Our marriage lasted a year longer because of it. Sadly we are divorced now but she is a great player.

The reason would be that the girlfriend or wife can decide for herself if she wants to play poker and that the man in question has absolutely no say over the matter :) It'll be a cold day in hell before my man starts to 'allow' me to do certain things.

Poker Hand - Playing poker, royal flush
Some woman are alot better pker players then men are. If you mean letting your wife gamble for a lot of money the answer would be no. But I would say the same thing for a man.I am a woman and a few years ago I had a big gambling problem, I am very good at poker but I have learned from experience that in the end you will never win. If a person is just playing for fun there is no harm in it.
