The people-narcisses

I visit a forum and there read again and again a person who is allmost mad narciss. She allways admires her own beauty so much, she claims herself non-stop as beauty, clever, popular ...blablabla, she is ideal, she is just perfect. And my question is when the normal self-respect and self-esteem becomes something more and not so pleasant? Do you know people who think that they are centre of the world and the others must give them applauses non-stop and absolutely for everything they do? And what is your usual reaction to them? Ignore, protest, confrontation, other?
