Out of melody

Musics, songs has been written and composed centuries ago and still musicians and songwriters never run out of melody to make a song. I wondered would they run out of melodies or tunes someday so singers have to re-sing the old songs. Many songs are now re-sing, new version. Would that be a sign that they are starting to run out melodies and tunes?
